Fortnightly History 

Fortnightly History, hosted by Museum Curator Owen Briffa, is a series of engaging video episodes that explore the rich history of the Shire of Mundaring. Each episode highlights the stories of people, places, and events that have shaped the region, drawing from the extensive Lost Mundaring Collection. This program not only educates viewers about local heritage but also fosters a sense of community by encouraging discussions around our shared history.

WWII Mount Helena Roll of Honour

We are proud to collaborate with the Mount Helena Residents and Ratepayers Progress Association Inc. on the research and creation of the WWII Mount Helena Roll of Honour. This significant project aims to honour local heroes who served during the war, ensuring their contributions are preserved and recognised within the community.

Decades of Generations Documentary (2019)

Decades of Generations is a documentary created by Owen Briffa. Beginning in November 2018, Owen conducted interviews with past and present residents, capturing their cherished memories and insights about daily life in the Hills. The documentary combines these recorded interviews with a treasure trove of historical photos and films, painting a picture of the community's evolution. It premiered on Thursday, 7 November 2019.

140th Celebration of White's Mill Settlement

In partnership with the Mount Helena Residents and Ratepayers Progress Association Inc., we celebrated the 140th anniversary of the settlement at White's Mill (Mt Helena) in 1882. This event highlighted the area's historical significance, featuring displays, guest speakers, and community activities that brought residents together to honour their shared history.

Mount Helena ANZAC Day

Each year, we organise the Mount Helena ANZAC Day service to pay tribute to the brave men and women who served in the Australian Defence Forces. The ceremony fosters a sense of community and remembrance, inviting residents to reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom. The event includes a service, community readings, and opportunities for personal reflections.

Pioneer Park Historical Upgrades

Our efforts to enhance Pioneer Park include historical upgrades that celebrate the area's heritage. These improvements aim to create an engaging environment for residents and visitors, showcasing the stories that have shaped Mundaring. Upgrades include new interpretive signage, restored pathways, and landscaping that highlights local flora.

Capturing Tomorrow's History with Mundaring Media Network

Capturing Tomorrow's History is a collaborative project between Lost Mundaring and the Mundaring Media Network, aimed at preserving the evolving story of our community. Through innovative multimedia initiatives, we document daily life, significant events, and local heritage, ensuring that tomorrow's history is recorded for future generations. This partnership features interviews, documentaries, and interactive content that showcase the voices and experiences of Mundaring residents. Join us in celebrating and recording the vibrant tapestry of our community's journey as we work together to create a living archive of Mundaring's history.
