MUNICIPAL INVENTORY

Shire of Mundaring Municipal Inventory (1997)

The Municipal Inventory is a list of buildings or places, which in the opinion of the Council are, or may become, of cultural heritage significance. It was commissioned by the Shire of Mundaring and undertaken by Bruce Callow (Architect) and Shan Callow (Researcher) of Bruce Callow & Associates Pty Ltd together with Ian Elliot (Historian) during 1995.

SHIRE HERITAGE LIST

Shire of Mundaring Heritage List (2016)

The purpose of this Heritage List is to identify places that are of significant cultural heritage value and worthy of conservation. Modification or additions to a place on the Heritage List will usually require planning approval and may require referral to the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (State Heritage Office).

Chairmen and Shire Presidents of Mundaring 1903 - Present

The Shire of Mundaring was originally established on 17 April 1903 as the Greenmount Roads Board with a chairman and councillors under the Roads Act 1888. It was renamed Mundaring Roads Board on 29 March 1934, and with the passage of the Local Government Act 1960, all road districts became Shires with a shire president and councillors effective 1 July 1961.
